D’s Mayaavea is located in the serene, lesser explored sleepy hamlet of Fikkalay Gaon, situated 12 km above Kalimpong town. Past the city traffic, it takes 10-15 min to reach this homestay. D’s Mayaavea has a few humble Nepali bamboo cottages, spread over a sprawling garden. Car parking is available on the property. The entire property, including all the cottages, open up to panoramic view of all the peaks of Mt Kanchenjunga in Sleeping Buddha formation, set in the backdrop of breathtaking valleys and meandering Teesta river valley. The view is very unique to this hill and D’s Mayaavea is considered one to offer some of the best views.
